I went to the offices Monday 16/04 to register a vehicle - only to be told offices closed as a result of a memorial service.
Went back Tuesday 17/04/2012 - signboard at entrance - offices closed for a funeral.
When will one be able to get service. Surely this info can be posted on the internet. One takes leave only not to be able to be assisted.

They DO answer telephone calls.

Being struggling to get through to department on 011/7616315 for the last four day to find out when task request certicafte has been done and when you get through they say phone back in 10 minutes because the scanner iss slow and can get in the system ,this morning i final got some one the phone and said that the ladies in thaty department are of sick and there is no one in the intire roodepoort license department can not help me till the come back from sick leave IS THIER NO BACK UP PLANS IF SOME OFF SICK FOR WORK TO BE DONE ,THIS NOT ACCEPTABLE ,TIME ENERGY WASTED AND NO RESULTS ,THIS IS UNCEPTABLE SERVICE CUSTOMER NOT HAPPY

My goodness, does the licence department have phone lines? You can never ever get hold of them. Surely there should be someone anwering phones. The reason why you phone is to get information, before actually taking off work, to go to the licence deptartment.
Please try better your service.

Was at the licensing department a year ago and today 21/12/2010 and the photo copy machine was and still is out of order. This causes unnecessarywaste of time for everybody.
I suggest you take copies of your ID and any necessary documents to prevent you running around to make copies.
It seems like JMPD only take your money and could care less about providing service like they are supposed to.

I have still not received my drivers license 5 1/2 months after I submitted my application and paid the money, my temporary license will expire at the end of the month, no sms has been received informing me to collect, and my phone calls are unanswered.
