Starting off in 1990 as a totally independent family concern, Day Plastics were supplying vinyl, foam and motor trimmings from their premises at Hodgson Street in Roodepoort. Retailing direct to the public, the company quickly became well known for their highly competitive and reasonable prices especially in upholstery materials. But due to rapid growth and increase in demand, these premises soon became inadequate to accommodate the ever increasing stock and storage requirements.

In 1994, in order to meet these challenges, it therefore became imperative to move to bigger premises in Berlandina Street in the CBD of Roodepoort. This led to more exposure and an even higher profile in the industry. Due to popular demand, the addition of several new ranges like dress fabrics, curtaining, etc. became a logical step forward, and it was decided to change the name to Fabric Link. The natural spin-offs however demanded more floor personnel, more stock, and yes..  (yet again!) more floor space.

Fortunately, Fabric Link managed to acquire a familiar old landmark, namely the former OK Bazaars building at 39 Goldman Street, Florida. With a floor space in excess of 5000 square meters we are now able to offer the widest range of upholstery materials on the West Rand, plus a variety of other products and services e.g. foam cutting, ready-made curtains, a massive haberdashery department, a stunning selection of beads and trinkets, accessories and more. All at prices you can afford. We also provide safe and secure parking on the premises for your peace of mind.
