Fred & Martie’s Soupkitchen has been in existence for over 3 decades 34 years to be exact.  We are a registered NON PROFIT ORGANISATION that is completely dependent on support from people and organizations that opens their hearts for us by donating food, blankets, clothes almost anything you have at home that another family can use.  We are registered and can issue IT18A certificates to corporate and individuals supporting us financially.

Our biggest desire at the soup kitchen is to be God’s hands and feet in our needy community. Leaving God’s fingerprint on the lives of our children serves as a constant reminder that they are bigger than their circumstances and very important in their own right. We tackle each day fully trusting in God with great expectation. God showed me in a dream that he encourages the work that is being done in Claremont, Newlands, Delarey, Montclare, Newclare and Maraisburg and reminded me that we need to make ourselves available to fulfill his plans in these areas.

We have served the community by providing  meals to the hungry tummies of approximately 500 children daily.   We provide the children and families with blankets, socks, jerseys and all clothing that is donated to us. 

We also provide  food hampers to take home to mommy and daddy over weekends when possible in order to accommodate meals on Saturdays and Sundays. Bi weekly food hampers are also provided to the elderly and our doors and hearts are always open to listen and provide emotional support. Even with all our efforts the needs within these areas are growing.
