The Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens is an oasis of calm in the center of the city. On Sunday afternoons, pack a picnic and a bottle of regional wine and join locals in a popular weekend tradition. Find yourself a spot on the lawns among the music lovers who come to relax to the sounds of the Rosamunda String Quartet and other South African performers. Depending on the day, performances may feature anything from Baroque classics or contemporary show tunes. Whatever is on the roster, attending these performances is a pleasant way to while away a sunny day.
