What kills more children than Aids? = Roads! "Your chance of being in a crash in SA are 1 in 101. In other parts of the world chances are 1 in 5,000."(Gary Ronald. AA. 22nd Jan 2010.) •In SA DEATHS PER 100,000 = 30.53 (2007) Ref: RTMC/DoT. WORST IN THE WORLD. SHOCKING!!! •(SA deaths defined as having died within 7 days of a crash. Most 1st world countries count up to 30 days after the crash.) •In SA -18 000 people are killed annually and 150 000 are severely injured.(MRC statistics) •On a daily basis, 45 people die and 410 are injured, with 25 people becoming paralyzed. •Road crashes are the main cause for death in the youth. (Age 5 - 29 Ref : W.H.O.) By 2020, unless action is taken, road traffic injuries are predicted to rise overall by about 80 per cent in low and middle income countries.
