In 1997 Clemence Hwarire began making hand-woven baskets in a tiny garage. Despite these humble beginnings, the business grew and now, known as Human Loom Enterprises, provides employment for 40 people.

Despite its humble beginnings, Human Loom Enterprises supplies numerous stores, interior decorations and individuals with a wide range of quality wicker products.

The company also has a showroom on its premises and exports products to countries as far afield as New Zealand, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

The product range includes lamps and lampshades as well as furniture and fittings for the bathroom, living room and kitchen. New items are constantly being added to the product range with custom-made items also being available.

It is Human Loom’s mission to continue its growth onto the future and provide training and employment opportunities to as many people as possible.
